The Wow Forever Enchanting Shuffle is simple. You buy cloth, craft items to disenchant, and then sell the dust and essence or use them for more crafts. The hard part is knowing if it actually makes gold on your server. Prices move every day, so I built a calculator where you plug in your own AH prices and it does the math for you.
It compares three ways to cash out every item and tags the winner. You can vendor it, sell it on the AH, or disenchant it. It also tracks your real disenchant results, so the DE math comes from your actual drops.

How to Use the Calculator
- Enter your prices. Open the Prices tab and type in what mats cost on your server right now. You can type copper (255) or coins (2s 55c). If you leave Bolt of Linen blank, it figures the cost from 2 Linen Cloth.
- Check the cards. Each item shows what it costs to make and your profit or loss for vendoring, AH selling, and disenchanting. The best option gets a Best tag.
- Log your disenchants. Open an item and tap a button for every DE, like +1 dust or +2 essence. The more you log, the more accurate your DE value gets.
- Plan a batch. Set “Plan to make” on any item and the Shopping list tab tells you exactly what to buy, what to craft first, and what you’ll net.
Your prices and logs save in your own browser. Use Copy data on the Prices tab to back them up or share them with a guildie.

Tips for Using the Wow Forever Enchanting Shuffle Calculator
- Make your own bolts. Crafting Bolt of Linen from 2 Linen Cloth is usually cheaper than buying bolts on the AH. The calculator picks the cheaper option automatically.
- Wands are an essence outlet. You can’t disenchant them, so they only make sense when a wand sells for more than the essence and Simple Wood you put into it.
- Watch both essence prices. 3 Lesser Magic Essence combine into 1 Greater Magic Essence, and you can split them back. If one is cheap, the other gets cheaper too.
- Count the AH cut. The auction house takes 5% of every sale. Leave that setting on or your profit looks better than it really is.
FAQ
It depends on your server’s prices. When linen is cheap and dust and essence sell well, crafting to DE can make gold. When mats are expensive, selling the crafted items on the AH usually wins, and DE turns into a cheaper way to level enchanting. Plug in your prices and the calculator shows you which way it’s going.
In my 35 logged disenchants, about 80% gave 1 or 2 Strange Dust and about 20% gave 1 or 2 Lesser Magic Essence.
No. Wands made with enchanting can’t be disenchanted, so the only ways to cash them out are vendoring them or selling them on the AH.
Yes. Everything saves in your own browser. If you clear your browser data it’s gone, so use Copy data on the Prices tab to keep a backup.
Yes. Click “Add an item” on the Shuffle tab, pick the reagents, add your sell prices, and tick “Can be disenchanted” if it can be DE’d.
